Gotta sweet tooth for holiday drinks?
- ’Tis officially the season for peppermint mochas, gingerbread and eggnog lattes, and steaming mugs of hot chocolate. But because these beverages are both sweet and caffeinated for the most part, dieticians say try to consume them early in the day. But they also say sugar-laden beverages, such as a holiday-themed latte, shouldn’t be consumed on an empty stomach. So they’re best consumed with or just after a meal, like breakfast, brunch or lunch.
