In an effort to become more sustainable and improve customer experience, McDonald’s is replacing the cups they use for the McFlurry and adding a new size option. The fast-food giant is switching out its traditional McFlurry cup with its plastic lid for a more environmentally friendly paper cup with a built-in four-flap closure design. Also, starting September 10th, participating McDonald's locations in the U.S. will offer a Mini McFlurry, a smaller version of the popular dessert. These changes are part of McDonald's broader goal to source all its primary consumer packaging from renewable, recycled, or certified materials by the end of 2025.
