I can't imagine someone spending money for upside jeans or jean shorts. Certainly not the good people of Bay County, am I right Panama City? But the fine folks at Cie Denim saw a void and decided it needed filling.

So here you have jorts design to look like upside down jeans. Belt loops along the bottom. And I suppose the waist line is just hemmed... Oh, maybe cuffed or pegged jeans will come back and really give an interesting waist band look. I can see this really taking Bay County by storm. (Ok not really).
