Would you be shocked to learn Reese Witherspoon isn't her real name? Then you would be in the same boat as her The Morning Show costar Jennifer Aniston.
Okay, so Reese Witherspoon is technically her real name, but the moniker we all know doesn't tell the full story. In a new joint interview with LADbible, the duo put their friendship to the test to see how well they really know each other. That's when Aniston was surprised to learn that Witherspoon's actual first name is Laura, not Reese.
Though the costars have been pals for years, the Friends alum is only just now realizing the distinction, per E! News.
"Who the hell's Laura?" Aniston hilariously wondered aloud before Witherspoon jumped in, telling her, "I'm Laura Jeanne. That's my real name."
When the Along Came Polly actress asked, "What made you go with Reese for your acting name," Witherspoon explained that she "didn't change" anything. Despite her first name being Laura Jean, she has "always" gone by her middle name of Reese as it is also the maiden name of her mother, Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Witherspoon.
However, the name reveals went both ways after the Legally Blonde star "was today years old" when she learned that Aniston's middle name is Joanna.
