Brightline Debuts New Train Station At Orlando International Airport

Brightline has officially unveiled its new station at Orlando International Airport as the high-speed rail service moved closer to starting passenger service between Central Florida and Miami sometime this summer. Tickets will go on sale next month. Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings says this is a big deal for the region.

"The station will significantly impact our economy and how we conduct business in the region," Demings said. "It will be the first stop for many visiting our community and has features that will be attractive for both business and leisure travelers."

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer can't wait.

"Certainly Brightline takes cars off the road and provides a faster, safer, greener way to travel between Orlando and South Florida."

The 37-thousand square foot station is located by Terminal C at the airport and its parking garage has spaces for 350 vehicles. A one way ticket to Miami starts at $79.
