Jeffrey Epstein confidante Ghislaine Maxwell awaits sentencing on Tuesday in her child sex trafficking case but that could be postponed.

60-year old Maxwell is on suicide watch after the U.S. Attorney's Office says she and her legal team refused to answer questions from a psychologist.

She was removed from the general population and Maxwell's lawyer says she is unable to review documents related to her sentencing and has been denied access to toiletries.

He wrote to the judge that his client is not suicidal and that if she is not taken off suicide watch, he wants an adjournment.

Maxwell was convicted in December for helping Palm Beach financier Jeffrey Epstein recruit and sexually abuse teenage girls at his homes in Florida, New York and elsewhere.

He died of an apparent suicide while awaiting trial behind bars.

Federal prosecutors want Maxwell to get at least 30 years in prison.

Defense attorneys have asked for a sentence below the 20 years recommended by the court's probation department.
