Florida Woman Gets Two Years for PPP Fraud

TAMPA -- A Tampa Bay area resident gets two years in prison for fraud involving COVID relief.

52-year-old Bridgette Keim of Temple Terrace pled guilty to bank fraud in January. Federal prosecutors say she filed false applications under the Paycheck Protection Program. Of course only businesses that have payrolls were eligible, and prosecutors say Keim filed for nonexistent businesses with no employees under the names of family members, even pretending to be her relatives when applying.

A judge sentenced Keim to two years in federal prison and ordered her to pay back $75 hundred dollars.
